Edge FM relaunch – what you need to know
As part of a move to broaden our content, appeal to a wider range of listeners and no longer focus on specific niche areas, Edge FM is currently undergoing redevelopment. We are no longer going to attend transport related rallies, for example the Bus and Truck shows, but instead focus our efforts on successful areas – such as our family days out at Bamber Bridge Football Club to provide music and announcements.
With regards to our online music, which is what we predominantly offer, we are in the process of rebuilding the playlists, jingles, live programming and more. It will be the largest redevelopment you will see in our entire 4 years of broadcasting.
We have made these changes to align with our areas of success and to broaden the station beyond it’s previous narrowed scope – the transport sector is riddled with headaches, infighting and various problems of it’s own. In contrast, from other functions which at the time were unplanned, we have seen the light and potential working away from this theme and how successful Edge FM can be as a high quality, people orientated station – without being mainstream, but still offering an alternative theme that appeals to a wide range of people both old and young.
